I am happy to say that I have purchased Jaxx from Carl Plasschaert, of Belgium, for my Atlantic Challenge row in 2021.

Jaxx is a Rannoch R25 Pairs and was built in 2019.  Carl rowed Jaxx to a successful crossing in 2019 - completing the row in an extremely fast time of 50 days, 6hrs. and 19 mins.  My personal crossing time expectation is closer to 60 days for point of reference. I can only hope Jaxx serves me as well.

I am, however, going to make a slight twist on the boat's name and rename it Jack, in honor of my grandfather Jack Keane.   My grandfather worked on the waterfront in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and some of my fondest childhood memories are time spent with him.  May his spirit be with me as I row across the Atlantic.
