MEET OWEN GRAY

I have always enjoyed endurance events, not only as a way to manage the stress of being a partner at Novogradac & Company LLP (a public accounting firm) but also for personal discovery – What am I capable of?  
 
I was in a seemingly innocent cruiser bicycle accident almost 10 years ago. That innocent accident resulted in me now being the owner of a left shoulder prosthesis.  That accident along with several other incidents have shown me that there are no assurances in life and it can change in the blink of eye.
 
This led me to enter the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in 2021 and I successfully rowed the Atlantic Ocean as a solo entrant.  I became hooked on the challenges rowing an ocean presents and participated in the World's Toughest Row Pacific in 2023; in which I successfully rowed from California to Hawaii as part of a pairs team.

I finished the World's Toughest Row Pacific feeling unsatisfied.  I spent days during the row, questioning whether I could have handled the conditions on my own.  Now I need to go back to the mid-Pacific and see if I can row it solo.
